Comments: Bluebirds frequently nest twice (sometimes three times) during the spring and summer. Both parents hunt from dawn until dusk to find adequate caterpillars, beetles, grasshoppers, crickets, and moths to feed their young. Once the babies fledge from the nest cavity, the male typically takes over as the principle caregiver while the female prepares to renest.
