Location: St.Augustine, Florida Copyright: © Graeme Teague 832-526-1123 gtphoto@shaw.ca AGPix ID: AGPix_GrTePh23_0349 Photo Alignment: 35mm (horizontal) Comments: The oldest continually inhabited city in the New World, St.Augustine has a fabulous history, castle, beaches, lighthouse, architecture, old towne, food and people. Huge names in history have touched down here, like Ponce de Leon and his quest for the spring of life, to railway baron Flagler and his astonishing hotels for the rich and untaxed, to the Greek Orthodox church. On the left the fully restored Cordova Hotel, a Moorish Revival building from 1887; on the right the Lightner Museum, formerly the Alcazar Hotel 1889 - two of Flagler's holdings. Fabulous towne. Extensive in depth files on St.Augustine, Anastasia NP and surrounding areas. Florida agency.
