USWFS biologist Pete Leary rescuing an overwashed Laysan albatross from harbor after March 10 tsunami

(Third of three images) A volunteer reaches to rescue a Laysan albatross chick washed from its nest by the March 10 tsunami and entangled in human-caused trash, including fishing net and ropes. The chick has a good chance of survival if its parents can find it when they return from feeding at sea.
