Caption: Wisdom, a banded Laysan albatross thought to be at least 60 years old strolls past her chick. The nest is marked by an orange tent peg. Wisdom is identified by a standard US Fish & Wildlife Service metal band on her left ankle and a coded red band on her right ankle. First banded in 1956, Wisdom has probably flown more than 3 million miles. She is the oldest wild bird known through 90 years of banding records. She has just returned from fishing at sea on the evening of March 20, 2011. This is the first time she has been photographed at the nest since the March 10 tsunami.
