In the spring and early summer when the flow of Two Medicine River is high, the excess water flows over the top of the falls creating a two-tiered falls. When the flow is low, the entire river flows down into the rocks and out the lower portion of the falls only. 9513 ft Rising Wolf Mountain is seen in the background.
