Tricolored Heron / Louisiana Heron(Egretta tricolor) in Breeding Plumage, Flying, Florida.  This species breeds from the Gulf states of the United States and Mexico south to central Brazil and Peru (South America).

Red-footed Tortoise (Chelonoidis carbonaria / Syn: Geochelone carbonaria) Fraternal Twins Hatching from the Same Egg.  The two baby turtles are both connected to the same egg yolk by their umbilical chords and develop within a single egg shell.  When they emerge, both will be a bit smaller than a normal hatchling, but otherwise fine. The first to emerge is dragging its sibling out of the shell.  Central & South America (Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Caribbean Ilsands, Guyana, Surinam, French Guiana, Bolivia, Paraguay, & Argentina) CITES II.
