Comments: Angel Wing overlooks Grinnell Lake in the Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park, Montana. The lake exhibits the characteristic turquoise color that indicates its source is glacier derived, in this case that being Grinnell Glacier. Partially obscured behind Angel Wing is Mt Gould, with the Garden Wall extending to the right and Piegan Mountain in the distant left side of this view. Once part of Grinnell Glacier, Salamander Glacier clings to the side of the Garden Wall, while Grinnell Glacier resides out of sight below it. The Garden Wall is part of Montana’s Lewis Range and forms the Continental Divide here, all of which is part of the greater Rocky Mountains.
