Comments: This fish is in an artificial stream in a nature center in Boise, ID. Redband trout are native to the desert regions of the Great Basin and adjacent arid high desert habitats. They can tolerate higher temperature and pH than other salmonids, and are threatened over much of their range. The white tips on the anal and dorsal fins help identify this subspecies of rainbow trout.
