Comments: It's often said that grizzly bears either don't or can't climb trees. I obtained proof that grizzly bears can indeed climb trees. This is one of a number of images I captured of at least 2 adult female grizzlies in Katmai National Park climbing trees to retrieve their cubs that were perched in those trees. They could have also climbed trees to get people that might have been in them.
