Hoodoos in moonlight at Sunset Point in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. I purchased a newer car in Tucson and then made a long test drive north. LOL. I arrived in this location well after sunset and shot a few nighttime shots before heading to the hotel where I slept very well.

Hoodoos in moonlight at Sunset Point in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. I took 3 shots, tilted each of the last two slightly upwards to get more sky in the image. Combined in PS (like a panoramic vertically)

Hoodoos at first light at Sunrise Point in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. The recent snowfall really augmented the creamsicle color of the hoodoos.

Hoodoos glow in morning light in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. I did a similar image many years ago when I last lead a photo workshop here. Love how the backside of the hoodoos is receiving the bounce light from the opposite side of the canyon illuminating them with a nice glow.

Wispy storms clouds above the Pahvant Mountain Range near Holden, Utah. I took this from an exit ramp off of I-15 as I absolutely loved the wispy clouds. I knew this was a black and white image before I tripped the shutter.

Wetlands below Mount Powell in the Flint Creek Range at Warm Springs WMA in Warm Springs, Montana. I've probably driven by this site hundreds of times without ever stopping. On this morning the rising sun and clouds formations made me pull off the I-90 exit and explore.

Wetlands below Mount Haggin in the Anaconda Range at Warm Springs WMA near Aanaconda, Montana. Lots of birds. I only had my 24-105mm lens with me. I need to go back with my longer lenses as there were abundant waterfowl and birds of prey.

Wetlands below Mount Haggin in the Anaconda Range at Warm Springs WMA near Aanaconda, Montana. This is actually a "superfund" site as ARCO still owns the land, I believe. The ponds were created to filter the runoff from the mining sites before it entered the nearby Clark Fork River. Perhaps, that is why I never contemplated stopping before? But, glad I did as it seems to be good habitat now..

Short Eared Owl in flight at Freezeout Lake Wildlife Management Area near Choteau, Montana. Have to say, the eye focus in the Canon R5 (and other mirrorless cameras) is such game changer. I'm able to get many more fast moving birds in sharp focus. Still takes practice.

Short Eared Owl flys through Chinook Wind Clouds at sunset at Freezeout Lake Wildlife Management Area near Choteau, Montana, I camped in my car near one of the lakes and took in the lovely clouds at sunset just wishing a bird (or group of) would fly by to add interest.

Snow geese migration at Freezeout Lake Wildlife Management Area near Choteau, Montana. I have a million of these "blastoff" images. Now a million +1. LOL. Seriously, it never gets old and now with advances in equipment and software my images of this spectacle are better than ever.

Snow geese migration at Freezeout Lake Wildlife Management Area near Choteau, Montana. There is a seriously hard puzzle here. Looking on the bigger monitor, there are actually around 20 birds in really sharp focus in front with the rest being a bit out of focus and I like the effect.

Snow geese migration at Freezeout Lake Wildlife Management Area near Choteau, Montana. The mountain backdrop is one the reasons that draws me back each spring. I keep hoping for the holy grail of lift off shots with the mountains turning red. Pretty close here with the dawn sky.
