Comments: Great white sharks are considered rare in all the environments in which they occur; they are a protected species in California, Australia and South Africa. This experimental Lexan "shark tube" was designed by famed Australian diver and filmmaker, Rodney Fox, who survived a great white shark attack in Australian waters during the 1960's and is now a strong proponent for great white shark research and conservation.
