Caption: Somali ostrich, Struthio molybdophanes, also known as the blue-necked ostrich, is a large flightless bird native to the Horn of Africa. Samburu and Buffalo Springs national reserves, has arid acacia savannah, scrub and gallery forest alongside the Uaso Nyiro River. Has a number of northeast African dry-country species shared with Ethiopia and Somalia, such as vulturine guineafowl, Somali bee-eater and golden-breasted starling and several mammals that do not need to drink water like Grant's Gazelle, Grevy's Zebra and Beiza Oryx; Africa; Kenya, OstrichS8001_P.tiff
