Comments: The Blue Angels performing over Seattle during the 2015 Seafair Air Show. The Blue Angels team is the United States Navy's flight demonstration squadron, with aviators from the Navy and Marines. It was was formed in 1946, making it the second oldest formal flying aerobatic team in the world. The Blue Angels' six demonstration pilots fly the F/A-18 Hornet, typically in more than 70 shows at 34 locations throughout the United States each year, where they still employ many of the same practices and techniques used in their aerial displays in 1946.

View of Puget Sound at Bloedel Reserve. The Reserve is a 150-acre forest garden on Bainbridge Island, Washington, USA, made by the vice-chairman of a lumber company. Prentice and Virginia Bloedel wished to capture the essence of the Japanese garden - the qualities of naturalness, subtlety, reverence, tranquility - and construct a Western expression of it. The Reserve has both natural and highly-landscaped lakes, immaculate lawns, woods, a rock and sand Zen garden.
