Comments: I had been hearing whistling when I turned around I found this woodchuck in a tree behind me. Turned out the groundhog had a nearby den. The woodchuck climbed into the tree, about three feet off the ground -- literally behind my head, while I was documenting the eagles of my eagle nest study.

A red-tail hawk has captured a mole and is sitting on it, however, the wild turkey continue to attack the hawk, circling it, and trying to get it to release the mole--which they may believe is one of their young (nearby). This went on for about an hour, until the hawk flew off, the dominant turkey behind the hawk, then spurred the hawk until it dropped the mole.
