Comments: The First Guest Bedroom in Government House in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, reserved for the most important guests. The house was used as the official residence of the Lieutenant Governors of the NW Territories and later, the province of Saskatchewan until 1945. The furnishings and clothing are chosen to represent the time of Lieutenant Governor Amedee Forget (1898-1910). The 'fainting couch' was used by women since, after age 13, they wore such tight corsets (seen on the footstool) that it was often hard to catch one's breath.
