Top of Thaynes Shaft, left over from Park City's silver mining days. After the mine closed, this shaft and it's tunnel were used to transport skiers up the hill in the resort's early years. They travleled nearly three miles into the mountain, then took a miner's lift 1770 feet to the surface.
