Comments: Local man sqeezes bamboo strips with kava root inside to make kava drink (also called sakau). The pounded kava root is sitting on the rock and looks like a mound of wet straw. The pounded root was mixed with water before it was strained. The resulting liquid is popular on Pacific islands and is mildly relaxing.
