Bird on right has just stood up, revealing the egg in the unlined scrape nest on the beach, Blind Pass, Manasota Key, Florida. Range = coastal areas of North, Central, & South America from Baja California & New England south to Argentina & Chile. Protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918.
