Comments: Perhaps a thousand years ago, Native Americans etched spectacular carvings (petroglyphs) into the rocks. Somehow they have withstood both the ravages of time--as well as a few rifle bullets, fired by local troglodytes. Nevertheless, their beauty remains, protected now by the National Park Service.
