Caribbean Blue Scorpion (Rhopalurus junceus) Venomous, with an LD-50 of 8.0 mg/kg intraperitoneal.  This is the most common scorpion in Cuba.  Many people are stung each year, but the only reported deaths have been from anaphylactic shock.  Escozul is a folk remedy for cancer made from the diluted venom.  This species produces a strongly audible stridulatory sound when disturbed (threat display).  Cuba, Haiti, & Venezuela.
