Caption: Codex Borbonicus (codex aztèque), circa 1519-1540. Facsimile Edition Ernest Leroux,1899. Bibliothèque Nationale de Mexico. A gauche, Pantecatl, l’un des dieux du pulque, divinité composite qui se pare des ornements propres à Yxcuina et au Dieu Quetzacoatl, le serpent à plumes. Le centre du tableau est occupé par la représentation d’une éclipse. A droite, deux animaux porte-étendards, couronnés de fleurs qui rappellent leur rôle dans la création du Soleil et de la Lune.
