Comments: These are very large, but gentle & harmless, scorpions, Hadogenes troglodytes, of southern Africa. This species is ofter cited as the world's longest scorpion, with males reaching to 8 inches. They are exceptionally non-agressive & can hardly be provoked to sting. Even if they do, the venom is mild, the pain slight. Arthropoda, Arachnida, Scorpionida, Ischnuridae.
