Comments: Terrestrial leech, Haemadpisa sp., sucking blood from human. These small leeches wait on the Asian rain forest floor for the approach of a warm-blooded animal. They readily attach to & feed on humans, their presence not usually being known until blood is seen soaking a pant leg or running down a leg. Taping pant legs around the ankles slows them down. Annelida, Hirudinea.
