Location: South Georgia Copyright: © Graeme Teague AGPix ID: AGPix_GrTePh23_0413 Photo Alignment: 35mm (vertical) Comments: Love the early morning dew on cotton bolls ready for harvest. Cotton is a soft, fluffy staple fiber that grows in a boll, or protective capsule, around the seeds of cotton plants. The plant is a shrub native to tropical and subtropical regions around the world, and from the late eighteenth to the mid-twentieth century, there was no more important single factor in Georgia's agricultural economy than cotton. It remains a world staple. GTPhoto is a full Georgia agency with enormous agriculture files and cotton an absolute specialty.
