Comments: Millions of years ago geo forces caused a submerged reef to rise from the sea creating a land locked saltwater lake. Nearly all the trapped species died away but the jellyfish adapted, loosing their stinging numaticysts (nothing to catch and sting), they developed an astonishing relationship with an internal alga. Twice a day they 'swim' across the lake following the life giving sun for energy food to it's internal alga, which it feeds off! Complete and full coverage of everything Palau, topside and underwater. Assignment photographer in Palau. Worldwide marine agency.
