Comments: Jerry Jacobs, a quintessential Montana sheep herder, worked his flock high on a hill overlooking Glacierís Cut Bank Valley and the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. As a backcountry ranger in Glacier, my job required that I be familiar not only with a specified area in the park but also with factors that might affect wildlife that depended on the park. And, so, late one June night I found myself riding a steep ridge opposite Mad Wolf Mountain along a ridge near Divide Peak. Here is where I met Jerry, who quickly became a much-admired friend... Available as card.
