NATURE AND WILDLIFE Birds: Many species, especially raptors, seabirds and waders. Mammals: Mountain goats, wapiti, bison, mountain lions, bobcat, coyotes, more. Macro: Extensive coverage of flowers and spiders.

ENVIRONMENT Habitat restoration, dams, clearcutting.

LANDSCAPES Mountains primarily. Other scenics.

SPECIALTIES Birds and mammals photographed from original perspectives. Beautiful images of less popular wildlife such as spiders. Volunteer workers contributing to conservation efforts.

GEOGRAPHIC AREAS Midway Atoll, Oregon, Olympic Peninsula, Rocky Mountain region, southern Appalachians, Texas. National parks, NWRs and other public lands.

RECENT COVERAGE Recently photographed the dedication of the Rich Guadagno Memorial National Recreation Trail as the 1000th National Recreation Trail at Baskett Slough NWR in Oregon, as well as supporting images.

PHOTOGRAPHIC PLANS In addition to previous projects, Rick has now begun work on a book about the Willamette Valley NWR Complex.
