My son located this katydid at night by its "singing." One of the various long-horned grasshoppers, katydids stridulate in temperatures above 45 degrees by rubbing "thigh" projections along the front wing. One of hundreds of insects and other critters in my collection.
'Duc van Tol Rose' tulip is among 17th Century rarities at the NY Botanical Garden. Photographed in early April, this is just one of scores of tulips in my stock, which also includes bulbs and planting. In fact, "how-to" shooting is one of my specialties, including step-by-steps. If I don't have what you want, I can usually figure a way to shoot it, even out of season.
