RELATED CREDENTIALS/SKILLS Advanced degree in geology. More than 17 years of experience as a scientist working for a government agency, including fieldwork in various wilderness areas of Alaska and expeditions across the Arctic Ocean. Experience teaching college and university-level geology and oceanography and familiarity with the use of visual media in education.
COMMENTS Ten-plus years of freelance work in photojournalism for newspaper, magazine and nonprofits. Have photographed a wide variety of assignments, including media events (e.g., United Nations 50th Anniversary, Herb Caen Day in San Francisco), festivals, exhibits, parades, weddings, sporting events, local interest stories, photoessays and portraits. Assignments accepted. Will customize products to suit a buyer's needs.
