OVERVIEW Variety of images from any location give a general sense of the area. From flora and fauna closeups to typical habitat to grand landscapes showing the interconnection of elements of the specific ecosystem. Focus is on the beauty and wonder of nature. Images showing potential negative ecological impact are usually those of natural occurrence (fire, flood, ice, wind); seldom man-made.
NATURAL HISTORY Birds, especially wading birds and waterfowl. Wildflowers, both eastern and western. Ecosystems from various U.S. regions. Captive and wild mammals include most North American felines, bear, bison, deer (whitetail, blacktail, mule), elk, moose, pronghorn, bighorn sheep. Spiders and insects. Extensive south Rio Grande Valley wildlife.
GENERAL STOCK Adventure in the wilderness, including images of people in outdoor activities, such as hiking, backpacking, canoeing/kayaking, cycling (mountain and road) and car camping. Children ages 4 to 15 in outdoor exploration, kite flying, at the beach, playing soccer, hiking, camping, biking and skiing. Safety gear (helmets for biking, skiing, etc.).

RELATED CREDENTIALS/SKILLS Campbell is an award-winning nature photographer with a B.S. in biology. His book, The Smoky Mountains Photographer's Guide, (Little River Publishers) is a local best seller and in its second printing. He is working with the Cumberland Trail Conference on a book highlighting the beauty of the area around the Cumberland Hiking Trail with an anticipated release in May 2009. Campbell is heavily involved with NANPA, teaching at the Summit and the NANPA Roadshow. He is also the Summit Committee Chairman and a NANPA Board Memberas of 2009. A board-certified family physician, Campbell maintains his medical skills by working in emergency medicine. He is always interested in pursuing the combination of medicine and nature photography.
