2010 PUBLICATION OF THE GRANDEST RIDE Mules have been a means of conveyance in the Grand Canyon for more than 100 years. For the past year, I have been following them from their corral to the bottom of the canyon--documenting their trails, the landscape and the people who work the livery operation. This portfolio- building project has resulted in the September 2010 publication of Grandest Ride, a small book published by Rio Nuevo Publishers and available directly from Tom, Barnes and Noble, any gift shop on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, and selected bookstores throughout the southwestern United States.
