OVERVIEW William Mullins is a biologist. He approaches subjects from a holistic ecosystem approach and captures elements of an animal's habitat as well as behavioral aspects that make that animal unique.
NATURAL HISTORY Extensive coverage, with Latin captions, of flora and fauna of the Snake River/High Desert and northern Rockies ecosystems (Idaho, Nevada, Oregon). Animal behavior, portraits. Broad habitat types and landscapes as well as detailed studies of individual plants and artistic closeups. Large and increasing file of Alaskan and Canadian arctic wildlife.
GENERAL STOCK Western landscapes and people with strong coverage of Idaho. Outdoor recreation: Birdwatching, flyfishing, white-water rafting, upland game, duck hunting and working hunting dogs (retrievers, pointers). Agriculture. Lewis and Clark trail in Idaho, including flora and fauna documented by the Corps of Discovery.
ENVIRONMENTAL Columbia River dams and fish passage, livestock grazing, mining. Whooping crane work in Canada, Idaho. Duck and raptor banding.
HUNTING/FISHING Large files of upland game and waterfowl hunting as well as fly fishing in Idaho and Alaska. North American and African big game, upland game and waterfowl.

Tanzania (February 2005) game species, mammals and birds. New book Idaho Wildlife Impressions, published in June 2007,contains more than 85 wildlife images.
PHOTOGRAPHIC PLANS Working on book on high desert ecoregion of southern Idaho/eastern Oregon, including flora, fauna, landscapes. Finalizing edit of Uruguayan images for the Uruguay Ministry of Tourism and Sport to appear in a show in Miami and Montevideo in late 2007. Trip to Peru in September and October; subjects to include hiking the Inca Trail, Machu Picchu, and the Amazon River. Trip to Ecuador/Galapagos Islands in May 2008.
