Russia

I recently traveled to Russia for two weeks to visit historical sites in Moscow, along the Volga River and St. Petersberg. At every destination we experienced the life and culture of the Russian people.

Moscow highlights included the Red Square, St. Basil's Cathedral, the Museum in the Kremlin, riding the Moscow Metro, Central Museum of the Armed Forces, All Russian Exhibition Center, Cathedral Square featuring the Church of the Annunciation.

During the boat ride up the Volga we stopped in Uglich, Goritsy, Yaroslavl, Kizhi and Svirstroy.

Peterhof Palaces and Gardens, the Hermitage, Catherine's Palace, Peter and Paul Cathedral, St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Neva Canal were among the places experienced in St. Petersberg.
